Scholarship Information

Scholarship Overview

In keeping with our purpose to Promote and Support ‘Cultural Pride’ through Student Scholarship Awards and Community Events in Fort Bend County, the Ft. Bend Hispanic Heritage Forum is proud to offer scholarships to help fund the educational objectives of young students in our community.

  • Applications must be received or postmarked no later than the second Saturday in May.

Scholarship Details

  • Scholarships will be awarded at the end of each academic year to recipients who reside in Fort Bend County. The amount of each individual award may vary based on the application submitted and the amount of funds the organization has to offer.

  • Scholarship funds are to be used for tuition and/or fees at an accredited college, university, technical or vocational school. A check in the amount of the scholarship award will be mailed directly to the educational institution of choice after the Ft. Bend Hispanic Heritage Forum has received a completed Funds Disbursement Form. The Ft. Bend Hispanic Heritage Forum reserves the right to request additional documentation prior to the release of scholarship funds.

Scholarship Application Submission Process

  • The application must be completed, signed, and submitted to the Ft. Bend Hispanic Heritage Forum by or before the deadline. Applicants who have not completed all required documentation will not be considered for a scholarship. Application submissions must include the following:

    • Completed application form

    • Biography (include explanation of financial need, academic goals, and community involvement)

    • An anonymous identification number is issued to each applicant. We ask you not make

    • reference to your identity in your biography.

    • Official high school transcript

    • Proof of admittance and/or enrollment

  • Submissions may be mailed directly to:

Phone calls regarding the status of your application are not encouraged. Due to the volume of applications received, students not awarded a scholarship are not notified. All scholarships will be awarded by the second Thursday of June of each academic year..
